Copyright Infringement Policy

Last Updated: January 1, 2026

Truck Camper Journeys (“we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the intellectual property rights of others. Copyright concerns may involve content submitted by users, content published by us, or content provided by third parties. This Copyright Infringement Policy explains how we handle copyright infringement claims involving content on the website.

We review copyright notices and counter-notices in good faith and respond as promptly as reasonably possible. Our decisions are made based on the information provided and applicable copyright law.

User Content

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the necessary rights to share comments, photographs, and other submissions. While we are not obligated to monitor user-generated content, we may remove or restrict access to content when appropriate.

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe content on Truck Camper Journeys infringes your copyright, you may submit a notice of copyright infringement requesting removal of the material.

Your notice must include the following information:

  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the allegedly infringing material and its location (URL)
  • Your name and contact information (email address is sufficient)
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf
  • Your physical or electronic signature

Incomplete notices may not be processed.

Takedown Procedure

Upon receiving a valid notice of copyright infringement, we may:

  • Remove or restrict access to the allegedly infringing content,
  • Notify the user who posted the material, and
  • Take reasonable steps to investigate the claim.

Counter-Notification

If you believe the content you posted was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notification requesting that the content be restored.

Your counter-notification should include:

  • Identification of the removed material and its former location,
  • Your name and contact information,
  • A statement that you believe the content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification,
  • Any information required by applicable copyright law, and
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

Counter-notifications should be sent to [contact form link].

If we receive a valid counter-notification, we may provide it to the original claimant and may restore the content in accordance with applicable law.

Repeat Infringers

Users who repeatedly infringe others’ copyrights may have their accounts suspended or terminated.

When evaluating repeated infringement, we may consider the circumstances of each situation, including any notices, counter-notifications, and other relevant information.

Good Faith Use (Fair Use and Fair Dealing)

Not all uses of copyrighted material are infringing. Uses such as commentary, criticism, news reporting, and education may qualify as fair use or fair dealing under applicable law. We comply with applicable copyright law when evaluating notices and counter-notices.

International Users

Truck Camper Journeys operates in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. While the DMCA is a U.S. law, we apply similar notice-and-takedown principles internationally to address copyright concerns in all jurisdictions where our users reside.

For notices submitted under Canadian law, we will forward the notice to the user who posted the content, where required.
